President Mnangagwa Visits SADC Secretariat in Botswana: A Testament to Regional Collaboration

Gaborone, Botswana – Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa, in his capacity as Chairperson of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), paid a significant visit to the SADC Secretariat in Gaborone, Botswana. The visit, warmly hosted by Botswana’s President Duma Boko, underscored the shared commitment to regional integration, peace, and sustainable development.

During the visit, President Mnangagwa received an enthusiastic reception, with President Boko describing him as a “source of knowledge” and expressing eagerness to strengthen collaborative efforts between Zimbabwe and Botswana.   2. Groundbreaking Ceremony: The two leaders jointly launched the construction of the SADC Standby Force Regional Logistics Depot in Rasesa, a project expected to bolster regional peacekeeping capabilities​
